THERMAL PAPER VS. PAPER TAPE?
One of the biggest advantages of using thermal paper over traditional paper ribbon is the speed of printing. Thanks to thermal printers, information is transferred to paper in a matter of seconds, without waiting for any ink to dry.
Another important aspect is the low maintenance cost of the technology. Thermal printing does not require ink, which saves a lot of money in the long run.

SIZE CHOICE
There are many types of cash register tape to choose from. If you don't have the printer's specifications to hand but you do have an old thermal paper, use the following diagram to measure the width of the paper to decide which size is ideal for you. It is possible to buy strips of the same width in different lengths and diameters. For example, if the cash register is used in a busy area, it is advisable to choose a longer or larger diameter strip.

STORAGE REQUIREMENTS
Thermal paper is best stored in a room with a temperature of less than 25°C, a humidity of not more than 65% and free from direct light.
It is not recommended to store in PVC containers, as PVC objects always contain plasticisers which, in prolonged contact with the object, degrade the imaging properties of thermal paper, fade the printed image and reduce contrast.
For complete safety, choose polyester, polypropylene or polyethylene-based containers
Under the recommended storage conditions, thermal paper has a shelf life of 8 years.
